FM had a bad shoulder in the first fight and proved in the second he had no problem with Castillo's style. He proved in the Jesus Chavez fight that he can beat a come-at-you, relentless fighter. What can Hatton bring that Floyd hasn't already seen?

Not too much. I think Cotto-Hatton would be a much better fight but oh well.

Enough with the excuses already. Floyd was much more dominant at 130 and he beat a green fighter that had never even CHALLENGED for a world title in Chavez. Chavez is shorter and smaller than Hatton and he STILL held his own for the first 8 rounds, and could have easily continued if his corner hadn't stopped it.

Hatton made a lot of mistakes the last time he stepped up to welter. If you read up on the internet you will see that the extra weight he was carrying was 50% muscle, 50% beer and takeaway food. Hatton believed with the extra weight he could gain before he hit the limit, he could get away with a few nights out with friends. Clearly he was wrong, and it nearly cost him the fight, but the fact is he won in a bad situation, and its that sheer will to win and his never say die attitude that Hatton brings to this fight that I dont think is matched by any of Floyds previous opponents.

As Hatton says himself, "To stop me, hes gunna have to kill me".*

*Not an exact quote, I'm too lazy to find the real one

If by holding his own you meant losing 7 rounds, then yes, he held his own (while getting )

Well said mate. That and Collazo was much bigger than Hatton and Mayweather. He was a natural welterweight/light middleweight and has fought as high as maybe 155-157lbs. Hatton will be much more capable of matching Mayweathers strength consideing that PBF naturally struggles to hold weight and has grew from a mere super feather weight. plus im hoping that Ricky has pepared much better for this fight.
