US doesn't have close to as many fighters as it had before, so naturally people start to lose interest if there is no US fighters.

my view of America is that you guys apart from Boxing and athletics don't really compete against the world in other sports that are popular for everyone else Football (soccer).. mainly). The reason why all those other countries back their sports stars so vehemently is because we are used to supporting our sports teams against other countries,. So we'll support our fighters as if their sports teams, as symbols of national identity.

Saying that, in general, im sure in everyday life Americans are far more patriotic than Brits. When it comes to sports though we'll watch anything if we are good at it and can beat other countries at it.lol

america has been blessed with most world champions so obviously they're gonna be spoiled,in pr it use to be boxing and baseball, now it's boxing and basketball and volleyball[lol]canada is hockey and hockey, mexico is obssesive about any sport, europe just like to stick it to american when they can,and as far as britain, britain is britain to me separated from europe cause we have alot more in common with them.australia as well, mad for sports.
