    Heavyweight Stand up style

I have noticed that in recent years a lot of the heavyweights’ have been using the stand up style. It appears that most eastern European heavyweights use this style of fighting. I wonder if some of them used a more American style of fighting would they be better. for example Dennis boytsov has a very up right style i think he would be much better suited to a peak a boo style but they don’t seem to teach that over there.
This is not a hate thread towards eastern European fighters just an observation of there fighting style.

It stems from there amatuer days, in the past most europeans fought this way even the british but in recent years we have seen a change and many different styles in british fighters because trainers are changing there way of thinking and some of them have american trainers. I think in the next 5-10 years you will see east europeans fighting differently.

yeah almost all of our fighters used to use the stand up style but it seems that we are going over to a more american style.

Taller fighters tend to do better with this style than shorter ones will. Head movement will not be as good in this style but parrying will.
