    Money Holding Up Williams-Quintana Showdown

The amount of money being offered to Carlos Quintana (24-1, 19KOs) is holding up a possible title shot at WBO welterweight champion Paul Williams (33-0, 24KOs). The tentative fight will headline an HBO televised tripleheader on February 2. [details]

I wonder how long Cintron is going to be out for. Williams is just pretty much waiting for an oppurtunity to face the other champions so there ia not alot of options out there. I hope the money issue can be worked out and he does end up facing Quintana.

65/35 sounds about right. In Quintana's other big fight (excluding his exposing of Joel Julio) he lost. He's also not the champion AND Williams has other options. So, he doesn't have much room to bargain.

          65/35 sounds about right.

When I really think about it this will be a great fight. Quinatana is a pretty good fighter and we already know Williams is a freak of nature. Let's bump the cash and make this bout happen!

70/30 is all the quintana can hope for. BTW, just notice how nobody is jumping at the chance to fight williams. if this was the other three champions, fighters would be lining up, not so much for big paul. honestly, if cotto cant land a mayweather or DLH date. he should step up and take the fight or set up a potential summer fight with paul. That wont happen since Arum seems to be blackballing williams. i like arum but sometimes he can be a real *****.
