WBC's Sulaiman Impressed by Budding Chavez Jr.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr’s stunning win over Ray Sanchez, has put the gangling young man on to a different level, and plainly removed the involuntary shadow of big daddy. [details]

JCC Jr. is doing great agaisnt bums. I expect him to continue tuning up during 2008 and have his first significant fight on 2009. Not everyone can become a champ at age 17 like Wilfredo Benitez did.

chavez jr looked like a heavyweight against ray sanchez he was way too slow and timing his shots a lot at least his chin got tested hes still got a long way to go before aiming for a title

i dont think that ray sanchez was a bum i mean if somebody besides chavez would have fought a guy with that record say like someone on shobox the nw generation,we would have all praised their performance but what people fail to realize is that this was a huge step up for yung chavez and he did damn good at passing the test in my eyes cuz i thought ray was gon give him alot more of a challenge and he proved me wrong and i think that that shows that chavez is developing very well lets not orget that his dad was built up the same way in fact he had about 36 fights before he even stepped up to elite competition so all in all i think yung chavez is doin good and hope that he keeps up the good work
