floyd is faster than ricky with his upperbody movement which is a testament to how flexible he really is, and his flexibility will overwhelm the living **** out of hatton. floyd can really manuver is upperbody fast and to the right spot. his footwork is fast but not the quickest, but the best placed footwork, because he knows where to move to at all times. hatton does have quick feet, but that's only when he storms in, whereas mayweather has fast feet going backwards or coming forwards because of how he places them.
floyd is a master puncher when it comes to accuracy because his timing is impecable, so he doesn't have to have the fastest hands, but in his case, he does have fast hands and good power also. hatton really doesn't have what it takes imo to beat floyd, nor has he ever. he has fast feet and can move his feet from side to side good, but against floyd, hatton's timing will have to be damn near perfect because another strong assest of floyd is his ability to control the pace of a fight, whether he;s defensive or offensive, he's that cerebrial in the ring. his relaxation gives his punches more speed, because he doesn't wast them, and he's not jumpy and on edge. ricky hatton better have a huge trick up his sleeve to defeat floyd, because if he doesn't, he's in for a terrible evening come december 8th, and i feel he doesn't have a huge trick up his sleeve at all. floyd has fast hands, fast feet, and more importantly than those, a very flexible upperbody, and he can land counter shots from any angle, whether he's flexing sideways or flexing back, it doesn't matter. he will overwhelm ricky hatton, and for the poster who claimed sugar ray would be too much for floyd because of his combinations, think again. yes, leonard had fast combos but many of them missed, and floyd is such a defensive to offensive genius, sugar ray would get countered with a powershot, which duran did to him and hagler. floyd is faster than duran and hagler, so he would tag sugar ray also. i would have loved to see these two fight, it would have been an exciting fight imo.
hopkins can claim what he want, but hatton's hand speed is slower than floyd's, and floyd's upperbody movement is too flexible for hatton to land anything effective on him imo, but we'll see.Comment
