Even an Oscar with one fight in the previous 2 1/2 years and who had lost 2 of his last 4 and lost 4 of his last 11?

He lost to a much bigger Hopkins and the second fight with Shane Mosely,a fight where a lot of people felt Oscar deserved the the decision. Not too shabby if you ask me. And he was coming off a sensational performance against Mayorga.

For every fight you can argue he won, there are gift decisions that he got, like the one against Sturm. And Mayorga had lost 2 of his last 4 himself, not a HUGE win. The Mayorga win was still over a year earlier, and he hadn't fought in over a year and a half before that. Inactivity kills, especially at 34.

good poll. Oscar is a better fighter than hatton and more of a threat for sure. Castillo, its debatable. I'd say Hatton is his second best opponent, though less of a threat than Castillo.

Say what you want, but Oscar was in the best shape than he has been in a long time. He looked great.
