This fight is absolutely nothing like SRL v. Tommy hearns. I am really getting sick of Paul williams being compared to Hearns. They are both black and both are tall, that is where the similarities end. Tommy had a huge punch, paul williams does not. Hearns proved himself against a lot of the best competition, at this point Pwil is still a prospect (a good one at that, but still a prospect).

Cintron is a lot more like tommy hearns than paul williams is. Hearns was defined by the power in his right hand.

This is not to rag on Pwil, cuz i think he's fun to watch and one of the 3 or 4 guys that are the future of this weight class, but damnit, he is not at all like Tommy Hearns.

the only thing i have to say is ... prospect? he holds a main belt at 147 after totally and utterly outworking ANTONIO MARGARITO the supposed most feared man and boxing... AND! he took margaritos best punch and kept throwin... i think at this point.. were past the "prospect" level...

I'm sorry man, but I watched Margarito OWN Cintron and make him cry like a b!tch, then I watched clubfighter Feliciano (discraceful title defence) beat him up on the inside from rounds 2 through 9. Cintron is a protected headcase and will get OWNED by the next good WW he faces.

I have not picked against Floyd I think ever before this but I think Williams would win a decision against Floyd.

all i said is he is like Tommy Hearns.

and, fyi, getting owned on the inside in those rounds became the strategy after he hurt his hand. Manny even said to him, "we will give away rounds so he tires himself out." then, manny told him, get outside and KO him. Cintron did both those things perfectly. i agree with you about the margarito fight, though. he got owned. had a lot of **** going on at the time, but he took the fight and lost. it doesnt happen again.

Well, Hearns' jaw wasn't exactly made of granite. Everyone is entitled to a bad night, but calling Williams a "prospect" while having a Cintron avatar was a little over the top.

Cintron fought Mark Suarez for a vacant title and is defending it against bums like Feliciano, while Williams won his belt from a legitimate champ in Margarito.

And Manny was hollering at Kermit all night long and was being ignored after about the first 10 sec of the round, he told him to box him from the outside and tie him up on the inside, not stand there and let him come in and rough you up and batter you on the inside the whole round.

Then he bows out of the Williams fight.......I don't know, I'm not impressed yet.

First off, manny didnt tell cintron that until between rounds 7 and 8, which is when cintron started getting back outside and tying up on the inside. prior to that he told him to let feliciano inside... even the commentators were wondering why manny would tell him that, but they didnt know about the injury.

I call Pwil a prospect because he is young and has had only 1 big fight. it has nothing to do with his abilities. i think he has a bright future, i was not knocking him.

Feliciano was supposed to be a stay busy fight for september, then came vargas' gettin sick. when he got sick, Cintron's camp tried to get williams or margarito for december 1, but that didnt happen, so they stuck with feliciano. And cintron did not pull out of the williams fight; he asked for it to be postponed until march, when his hand was healed, but Pwil said "no, im fighting feb 2, with our without you." do your research before posting. maybe you wont sound so misinformed.
