so your trying to tell me hearing of others over coming hard up bringings to achieve success and goals doesnt motivate you? it CERTAINLY motivates me and is partially the reason why i am where i am today!thats what they want everyone to believe. capitalism thrives on that exact statement, when in reality, only a slim slim fraction make it beyond where they are now, but at least this hope makes you work hard to make money for everyone else in the belief that you will one day be rich. unfortunately, as many people find, rich does not equal happy or fulfilled. if it does, you are a very shallow human being. Man, capitalism and your desire for money is nothing more than a cancer: growth for the sake of growth. Rabid vampirism, if you ask me.Comment

spend your money how you want, just don't talk about money, it's boring. I'm a student in my final year at university and never have money. Something just pisses me off about people talking about money whether it's in reference to having a lot of it, or being flat broke. Shut the **** up, and get on with it.Comment

im motivated, but it has nothing to do with monetary rewards. im just saying, in most (probably well over 95%) cases the donkey never gets the carrot. but i'll be damned if that donkey wont give you a lifetime of hard work thinking he can. seek happiness, not pleasure. man, it's all in your mind. Read some eastern philosophy on the subject... if you never desire anything, you will always be wealthy. it's our desires that make us poor, yet we keep living in the dark about that.
it's interesting how you jump to the conclusion that we live with our mothers and dont have any money, simply because we choose not to brag about money or buy fancy things. perhaps we derive our pleasures from less material things, ever imagine that? im not saying i could buy you (and even if i could, why would i want to?), but i am certainly not struggling in the least.Comment
