    24/7's Impact on Boxing

24/7 IMHO might be one of the best things to have happened to boxing. While the posters here are hardcore and generally know the inside stuff, if there's genuine animosity between fighters, fighters personalities (there public ones at least) etc.

24/7 is great for regular and fringe boxing fans. Many of my friends weren't knowledgable or interested in seeing PBF fight Hatton. In there mind it was the equivalent of him fighting Baldomir or Brussels in the fact that they assumed it was a tune up fight for a bigger fight.

I previously had to hype of the fights and inform these friends about these great fights (i.e. Marquez vs Vazquez) but now I steer them to 24/7 and they become very excited and hyped up about the fight.

I think 24/7 used for more fights can be a big boost for boxing in general and bring a whole new wave of fans into the sport.

My friends either don't like the sport or are interested in doing other things when we hang, but ever since I've showed them eps of the Contender they've been more interested. I showed the countdowns to Cotto-Judah and Pavlik-Taylor before the fights and they loved the fights even more. There's a general misconception that fighters are simply fighting robots. Shows like 24/7 and Countdowns have brought boxing to a level that could help bring it back to mainstream audiences.
