This was a statement that came out of bob arum,
obviously they are trying to take chavez jr slow,
they've done a great with cotto, but i think matching-up chavez jr vs baldomir it is kinda early, he will get exposed by baldy, idk what do you guys think

      Exposed is my vote...
man i was telling myself the same thing when i heard he wanted baldomir....

baldomir isnt as much as a joke as everyone is saying. he will not be K.O.'d by chavez... and i think he will hang around long enough to finish chavez...

      Nice THREAd good karma coming.

EDIT:oh and wnna bet on hatton against me?

I think time is right if he wants to make a statement. Wilfredo Gomez did it at younger age, i believe... maybe I am wrong.

i think its a fight he will win easy....a much safer fight than alfonso gomez..... i mean, look at baldomir's last fight... even his chin wasnt there(and i also think his chin is a little overrated.....i mean if people follow him up good when they hurt him and he walks backwards, i could see most fighters overwhelming him and him taking a knee or falling to avoid punishment.....)luciano perez almost beat his ass..

remember chavez hasn't developed his skills, he has no movement for baldomir, i know for a fact that baldomir will take all his shots

I was thinking the same thing, Who's more dangerous for Lil Chavez Baldomir or Gomez? now that I think about it a Gomez vs Baldomir fight would be pretty exciting fight.

seriously i'm getting sick of these granite chin stuff about baldomir...jr is very good at blocking and parrying actually thats one thing i like about him....maybe he will not stop baldomir..but he will win an easy decision with cleaner harder shots...and i do give him possiblity of a stoppage...

and chavez DEFINITELY better not try to beat gomez....

he's definitely not on gomez's level just yet...

                    later... much later.
