Considering it's an American TV station.. You would have to assume most of the people voting are Americans...

As many people like to point out.. "America is the Mecca of Boxing"..

I have also heard That Mayweather is the draw... If so.. then why are people voting with their hearts and Picking Hatton??

The Logical NON Biased vote is in favour of Mayweather..
The Home town Vote should also be in favour of Mayweather

I am Under the impression from this Forum.. That Floyd is extremely popular in the USA and that everyone is Picking him to win...

Well honestly... people don't like mayweather.


They respect his skill. his speed. his record. and his intelligence.

But the way he is portrayed people do not like him as a person.

He's the bad guy on Tv. Hatton is the good guy... it seems all around good guy actually.plus he doesn't suck.. he's actually a VERY good fighter. but floyd is a great boxer.


logically thinking fans: mayweather by decision.

Logicalliy thinking hatton fans: K.O. or decision. either way i could see it for hatton... and though i want mayweather to win this is just the truth.



I think though that mayweather will just win on points when you throw skill in it.

Nice poll. I'd like to see how many of those people would put money on Hatton! The results would probably be like this:

Hatton 4%

In other words, most of these people don't actually think Hatton will win, they just want him to. And this of course reflects the negative image Mayweather has created for himself.

Every sport needs a villain, and for whatever reasons, Mayweather has willingly chose to be that guy. He could have easily been loved like Sugar Ray Leonard or de la hoya or someone like that, but this is the path he made for himself. And I wonder if that will hurt him in the long run.

But I guess it's never too late to change roles either. Bernard Hopkins was hated for a long time, people wanted him to lose against Trinidad and de la hoya, but he then became a hero once he fought Tarver.
