  • Arum Talks Chavez, De La Hoya-Pacquiao, HBO

Following the big win by Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (34-0-1, 27 KOs), who stopped Ray Sanchez (20-2, 15 KOs) in the sixth-round at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, BoxingScene.com caught up with Top Rank head Bob Arum to talk about Chavez Jr, Jorge Arce, and the ongoing rumors of a potential super-fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao for September 08. Arum holds nothing back when voicing his feelings on the constant struggle between promoters and the cable networks. [details]

Vanes is pretty good, but he hasn't been able to KO some of the weak opposition they've put in front of him, I don't think he could stop Chavez jr. Who would win that fight is debateable though, they both look very promising, so don't expect Arum to put them in together, just yet. Vanes has absolutely no name in the grand scheme of things, he'll have to build it up.
