I refuse to believe they offered him such a bad deal. I mean when has Golden Boy Promotions not got a fight done due to money? These guys have have put differences aside to make fights with other promoters and now all of a sudden Calzaghe is being insulted by an offer. Do yall really believe Oscar and GBP are trying to short Joe? I think its obvious he just doesnt know his worth over here (not much by the way) and will use something like this to spare him a real challenge.

Honestly that was a very simplistic excuse from him and genuinely leads into question whether or not he just had second thoughts about fighting Hopkins. To me, so far that is what the evidence seems to suggest. There is no way he was offered less than the Kessler fight, that just strikes me as a bold lie.

But the fact of the matter is, we heard it from the horses mouth himself, refuse to believe it all you want, it's clear to see that Zaghe wants the fight more than Hopkins, so I doubt he'd lie for the sake of not fighting Hopkins.

No thats the thing, we dont know what they are because they are afraid to test the waters. Thats why i respect Ricky Hatton because he knows if you want to be the best you have to beat the best and he has enough pride to come and test the waters. Win or lose he knows theres only one way to be the best. Calzaghe is more concerned about flashing his undefeated record built up against absolute bums than proving to the world he genuinely wants to be the best. Ricky came to the US to fight Luis Callazo yet Joe cant come to fight one of the best to ever do it? Ricky Hatton made himself a draw in the US and Joe wants it to be given to him which just isnt going to happen.
