I think child abuse can have a mental effect lasting well into life, actually. I'm not trying to justify Mayweather, I don't like him and hope Hatton destroys him, but I still think his rough upbringing has made him distant and emotionally detached from people.

Yes it has, but it has because he has let it!

How many decent people have came from bad families? How many rose above the bull**** to become better human beings?

      Floyd has a choice!

i totally agree, actually.. but it doesnt change the fact that it's not entirely his fault his personality sucks so much. I know some people rise above it, but we can't just generalise based on other people, some are born mentally stronger than others. Not that Mayweather's mentally weak, since he's one of the most dedicated trainers in the world.

There is no documented proof and yes I am just speculating, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Look at the Mayweather family, they're all ****ed up and they struggle to formulate sentences, the only one with a brain in that family is Jeff Mayweather.

There is no doubt in my mind that Floyd is a victim of his parents ignorance.

One only need to look and pops and uncle rog to see what full blown ignorance is.

Considering where he has come from, Mayweather strikes me as a guy that can't seem to fully rise above his roots, but he is a more educated and fluent person, so he should be given props for that atleast.

His major problem in my opinion is that he NEEDS RESPECT, infact he will do and say anything to get it. He is a very insecure person to the point it seeps outta him without him even seeing it!

A loss and a reduction in yes men might actually be good for him as a person!

Given the facts it sounds very plausible i must say!

Yeah definitely. He's also very materialistic, I reckon if he loses to Hatton he will be devastated. His materialism comes from a lack of emotional stability.

Now we sound like his psychiatrists. hahahah
