First off I'm no Tarver fan. He needed his Ass beat after terming himself the Legend killer, then Hopkins stepped up and filled the bill, that was great! But Showtime seemed overly critical tonight. Granted Id put Dawson and several other Light heavies above him but he did better than I expected. The dude is 39 Years Old! What did they expect?

granted the 1st round tarver looked better than good.
but starting in the second he went to sleep and only fought in spots. it wasnt till the booze got so loud that he finally ended it. it was pathetic.
clubfighter santiago didnt have a chance. this was a mismatch. and we complain about the thais padding there records.

Yes but he will not beat any Topfighter at lightheavy that are not declining. He could maybe beat Jones and Glen Johnson again but that wouldnt impress me because these guys are past it too and old too.

Tarver looked old tonight. Real old. But it always helps when you are fighting a guy who doesnt want to be in there with you. That was the least convincing knockout I have seen in a while.
