I'd love to see it. I am a big fan of Gomez, however I don't know if he would ever win a title in such a talented divison. Maybe he should fight someone like Jackson Bonsu. Then maybe I'd think again.

He's good, just not THAT good.

I pointed it out.. Chavez Jr needs a step up on the real, I ain't saying this kid ain't got tools but **** man he's already like 33-0 you'd think he would have at least 1 notable name on his record by now, dude has fought complete bull**** up until this point, he fought 6 times in 2003 but against who? homeboy needs to step it up and I'm hoping this fight with Gomez is true because at least he would be stepping up from F level fighters to a C level, I ain't no Boxing mathematician but I think we can more or less decipher who's who in the game and Gomez isn't exactly a prime cut dude, even still he has MORE notable names on his young, less than 20 win resume than what Jr does, I want to see this fight and see if Jr can do well against someone who's going to hit him back in the same way he's going to hit them.. 100

I think Gomez could do well at 140 or possibly even 154, but at 147 he has no chance.

Gomez is impressive, he's got a granite chin, good power and ring smarts. This fight would be very competitive, because I don't see anyone, aside from Cintron, Cotto or Margarito knocking this kid out @ 147. The loser will be exposed as being a fraud and I'm giving Gomez the edge. Chavez Jr. had been targeting a well faded Gatti and is now fighting bums to get ranked.
