Black people have a different muscle structure to white people and the evidence would seem to suggest that this can be an advantage in certain sports (boxing) but a disadvantage in others (swimming). There is also evidence that genetics of certain tribes can make them more adept to certain sports although this is not always exclsuive to a race.

That's a matter of opinion, and besides, you have to admit europe(which is mainly whites) has always had a lot of countries contending for world cup spot and has a lot of competition whereas outside of Europe the only countries that really could win a cup are Argentina and Brazil.Comment

This is how I understand it. Africa has the oldest population and therefore has had more time to develop genetic diversity, much more so than Europe. Therefore chances are you will find the shortest, tallest, slowest, and fastest are of African descent.
Look at like this. If you sampled running speed of a million whites and a million blacks a chart might look something like this:
Blacks(top) Whites (bottom)
slowest-fastest
. .. ... .... ..... .... ... .. .
. .. ... ......... ... . .
EDIT: Looks like my chart isn't working in normal view but the dots that represent whites should be in the center of the dots that represent blacks showing that blacks having the slowest and quickest.
This isn't to say that the top athlete in the word couldn't be white, it's just not as likely.

True but some of the ATG players in the world like Pele, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Luiz and Henry are all black but then again Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, George Best and Zidane are all white.
I dont believe any skin colour is "superior" at all. I think in general blacks are bigger and born with more athletic bodies but on the whole everybody is human and therefore has the same traits making a persons atheletisism (sp?) directly down to good genetics that ahve been inherited.Comment

I was just trying to make it clear that there ARE great soccer players who are black. Whether Pele was the greatest or not will always be debatable...especially in Europe! Whether a country can win a World Cup or not really doesn't have much to do with this debate. The point I was trying to make is that there ARE great black soccer players...in many of Europe's top leagues and national teams.
Plus, if I remember right, Europe is only one up on the amount of countries that have won the Cup in comparison to the Americas...4-3 I think. Italy, Germany, England and France vs. Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.Last edited by Contenders; 12-01-2007, 05:34 PM.Comment

Alot of the black African American's being succesful has to do with the trickling down effect of slavery. The strongest of the strong ****** were the only ones who survived and passed down their genes to others. That's why today's blacks have the good genetics- because their ancestors had to have them.
And I'm only speaking for blacks out here. I don't know about the rest.Comment

Either way, on a whole it would seem like blacks do make better athletes than whites...but who knows, I'm neither of the two and think that it's hard to compare entire races to each other.Comment
