Keep picking and choosing whatever articles you wish to try and "prove" some kind of point (and disregarding any others), but know this: the ancient Egyptians that created that statue in your avatar were NOT black.

Why say silly things like this knowing damn well you can't prove it. The idea that blacks are socialized to excel in sprints is disputable in that many of these black athletes come from countries other than the United States. Are blacks from the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, and West Africa also "socialized" to run fast?


In other sports we can talk of access, finances and socialization. Running is something universal and simple across the

For 20 years East Germany failed to produce a single sub-10-sec. runner despite handpicking its most athletic children, nurturing them with the best coaching and pumping them with steroids. world. There are far, far more white sprinters in the USA than black ones in HS track.....the black ones of west african ancestry rise to the top of american sprinting invariably and have all the sprint records despite blacks being only 12-13% of the population

The problem is that alot of people tend to stereotype(put a group of people in one basket). The reality of it is, is that not all blacks are gifted athletes. But, Blacks are more likely to be the better athletes than everyone else. Genetics has everything to do with it PERIOD

Just look at the above referenced article where it compares the East German sprinters who were picked out of a genetic pool and bred into sports from the day they were born and received performance enhancing drugs and yet still unable to compete with the black athletes who have Western African ancestry. Actually the article above isn't new to me, I've pondered the same thoughts, and it comes back to the same word......Genetics!

This throws out the whole thing about blacks being born into poverty and are hungrier, because E. Germany for a long-time was a communist country and a poor one at that!
