Diaz vs. Katsidis May Hit A Major Snag

The proposed bout between IBF/WBO/WBA lightweight champion Juan Diaz and WBO-interim champ Michael Katsidis is going to hit a major snag. It appears that Diaz's contract with Don King is the major obstacle in making the fight happen. [details]

Just let them fight King. This fight is what the fans want to see.

katsidis fight is a good move for juan at this time but there's others out there.

This might not be a superfight in terms of importance or mass appeal, but every fight fan wants this one. We can't lose if it happens.

Diaz signed the contract with King. In exchange for the money King is paying, why wouldn't he want to protect his investment as best he can? He's there to cash in on Diaz. If he loses and King isn't making any money off of it, what good does it do?

Of course we want to see Diaz-Katsidis. But this isn't exactly a terrible thing King is doing.
