For your information, following the Wright incident he fought Sharmba Mitchell. Gave Mitchell 20% of the pot.
What a champion...
He thought he was a big PPV commodity because he was coming off of the performance of a lifetime against Gatti. His mouth and ego got too big and Arum put him back in his place. Which is why Arum (who was his promoter at the time) turned down THREE ****ING OFFERS.
But, according to Wright's promoter Shaw, his final offer - of £5m for Mayweather and £3.5m for Wright - was rejected when Mayweather's promoter Bob Arum demanded £6.5m.
Thats pounds by the way.
10 million for Mayweather, and 7 million for Wright.
That sure of hell alot of money. And it's probably close to what Mayweather made his ENTIRE career.Comment

Floyd was an HBO inhouse fighter and wasn't getting payed the type of coin you are saying. I believe he made around 4 mill for Gatti, which was his highest to date.
The reason why HBO was paying him around 2-3 mill was because they were hoping it would somewhat pay down the road with a huge blockbuster PPV deal. And it did with DLH.
And your facts are wrong again. This bout came AFTER trinidad.
Winky made some good coin for all three fights, and was a decent star.
