People keep raising the bar. If he beats Cotto, he has to bet Williams, he beats Williams, he'll have to beat Spinks, he beats Spinks, he has to beat Pavlik. You people are a joke. If you can't respect someone who's accomplished more than you and has worked harder than you to do it (or at least respect what he's done), then you don't respect yourself.

Mayweather's claim to be the Greatest of All Time won't be justified by wins over
DLH, Hatton and Judah. He needs to beat the best his division has to offer for me to even consider him to be in front of RJJ and Whitaker as the best fighter of this era much less of All Time. He hasn't done that at Welterweight yet. No is the answer to the question of the original post.

I agree with this! he says he wants/or is the greatest of ALL time, so basically he has to beat all the elites at welter. I'd leave Pavlik out of that he doesn't have to beat him to be the greatest of all time the man is going to be at supermiddle eventually. Hatton,Cotto,Williams if he does that you'd have to put him up there with the ATG's. If the man wasn't such a **** I'm sure he'd be up there already, but because he is most of us can only say he is the greatest boxer in the world . We can't put him with our all time greats because....we don't like him. It's human nature unfortunately.

Floyd not being with the ATGs has nothing to do with whether we like him or not, it's because he hasn't beaten ANY greats. He hasn't DOMINATED any weightclass for a lengthy period of time. And picking and choosing paper champs does not a great make.

Imo if he beats the guys I've mentioned he's more or less done a good enough job to be up there. Certainly to be the greatest fighter of this era. But in all honesty I really want him to lose because I dont like him. All the all time greats are popular, Floyd's a panto villian or just a heel. I
