    More Quotes from Lloyd Honeyghan....

If he hasn't already," Honeyghan said, "he should go out and get a tape of my fight and watch it. They gave me less chance than they are giving Ricky. They said Curry's slick skills would be too much for me. But I knew it was never going to be all about strength.

"I wasn't going to just go in and chuck punches at him. You can't win a fight like that. It's got to be educated pressure, with lots of lateral movement. That's what Ricky will see if he watches my fight. He'll see me constantly going forward but moving, moving, moving. I've seen Ricky fight like that before. That's what he needs to do on the night.

"There's no question that Ricky's strong enough to chase Mayweather down and close him down all night. I went to their press conference in London and I gave Ricky a hug, and his body was like iron.

"Mayweather can shout all he wants about being the best in history, which I don't agree with, but it's not going to get under Ricky's skin."

"They treated me like I was just some bum they'd brought over for Curry to beat. I said, bloody cheek, I'll see you on Saturday night pal. The fight happened just like I said it would happen. It wasn't a shock to me. I went there and battered him like I said I would."

"Mayweather's definitely beatable. It's a great fight, the classical fighter against the classical boxer. Both unbeaten, just like me and Curry, which is why I say it's almost a replica. But can he pull it off like I did? I don't know,"

I like this Eubank quote that you posted:

'They probably said Joe Louis wouldn't lose and he did. They probably said Mike Tyson wouldn't lose and he did. They probably said Sugar Ray Leonard wouldn't lose and he did. They probably said Naseem wouldn't lose and he did. Why should it be any different with this guy? If he doesn't lose his next fight, he'll lose one of the one's after that. That's life.'

It reminds me of the Haugen-Camacho fight. I don't think anybody expected Greg Haugen to be the one who would upset Hector. I think Camacho was 38-0 in that fight, too. Weird.

It really does always happen. It's inevitable. There will come a time when some semi unknown guy or underrated guy will get his chance and Mayweather and his people won't see it as a threat and he won't come in ultra sharp. The other guy will have trained for the fight of his life and will upset him. There is only one time in all of boxing that this hasn't happened. That was to Marciano of course. He got out right at the perfect time.

The thing is, Mayweather loves the spot light way too much. He will retire and come back, retire and come back and one time he will come back against a guy that will beat him up. Marciano was happy when he retired. He didn't need the public attention the way Mayweather does and shied away from the spot light. That made his retirement easy for him. Mayweather is the absolute opposite. When he retires and people stop caring about him he will have to make a come back...just like Leonard kept doing. Just couldn't stay away from the attention. He eventually got hammered and knocked out.

the thing is camacho was coming off a ****ing gift anyway, so it was bound to happen, it was something he admitted himself, camacho is a puerto rican hero so despite me not saying much about him, he was someone i really followed closely and admired.

i think i have been cheering for *******s all my life.

but the rest of the article is true.

He has a point, though Curry was weaken by the weight loss.
