Who Did Roy jones ever Avoid.

Roy didn't avoid Dariusz so much as he avoided traveling overseas to fight. I don't think it had much to do with economics or believing everyone had to come to America to fight him. I believe the wounds of getting robbed in the Olympics permanently scarred him,
Dariusz was offered the fight by HBO. They offered him an undercard slot on a pending Roy fight, and a guarantee of $5 million to fight Roy in the US. Dariusz said yes to a $5 million payday - but wanted that for the TUNEUP, and 8-figures for a Roy fight. This was even after the well-documented "DM flew in to watch Roy fight, then got on a plane and never came back" incident in the late 90's (I think against Virgil Hill).
They both shared plenty of blame for the fight not happening, but in the end it was Dariusz who turned down a binding offer.
As for avoiding fighters - Roy did legitimately pull out of two fights, one proposed (Vasilly Jirov, instead fighting then-mandatory Clinton Woods), the other actually reserved (Buster Douglas, backing out, and then taking Hill on about a month's notice). But neither were really fighters on Roy's radar for a long time.
For those where a fight should've been made - it's a neverending argument as to why fights with Benn, Eubank, Collins, Liles, etc. never happened. Benn and Eubank have both admitted in recent years that they avoided Roy and wanted a huge payoff. Liles, after leaving Don King was offered $1 million to fight Roy. He instead went back to King, and eventual obscurity. what happened with Collins depends on who you believe.
You can argue that he avoided Michael Nunn at light heavyweight during the late 90's. On the surface it doesn't mean much, though it did jumpstart a chain of events that led to a massive lawsuit against the WBC. So in retrospect, Roy (or at least the WBC) would've been better off had the fight happened.Comment
