the difference was that hatton beat collazo fair and square (although it was close), whereas floyd CLEARLY lost his first fight with castillo. big difference mate

there was a rematch clause when Floyd fought Castillo..

Hatton doesnt have the title he won when he fought Collazo..he went back to JW.

Hatton KO4 Castillo.. Floyd has NEVER fought a welter like Collazo. he fought old man Baldo, Fresh off a beating to old man Blado, Judah. and fresh off a KO loss to kostay, Sharmbay. Callazo is a very dangerous FIRST fight at welter...a prime south paw, natural welter who has fought at JM..Floyd fought shotbay..lol

Floyd clings to his P4P ranking as to avoid fights with actual top welters who would beat him

        Are you serious?

Many fans questioned the decision, and thought Collazo won the fight, the 12th round could have easily been scored 10-8 for Collazo.

Not only everyone had him winning, THE UK SKY SPORTS Team had Collazo winning as well. Nicky, Johny Nelson etc, all thought Collazo won.

There was a rematch clause for Hatton vs Collazo and Hatton approved the rematch in the post-fight conference. What happened a couple of days later? Hatton moved back down and the WBA Belt was declared "Vacant". If Hatton did'nt face Collazo he would have got stripped of the belt but he choose back to move to 140, so Miguel Cotto fought Carlos Quintanna for the this Vacant belt.

^^^ this may be true...but Floyd still has the skills to beat any quality opponent, anybody can discredit any1's resume... how u think Floyd would do vs. Collazo or a Juan Urango?....I think he outpoints Urango and he makes Collazo look like an amateur. I bet Sharmba would give Collazo a good fight.

good for you. why dont Floyd fight a top welter so we can find out instead of you "thinking" HE'LL do this and that..

Why has the P4P#1 never unified one of his 6 belts?

Because that would mean fighting the best in that division, and even Floyd will have to admit he never fought the best in any division.
