Ok, i completely agree that Cintron did not look good in this fight. he made feliciano look better than he is, though i do believe feliciano is an exciting fighter. manny steward has taken a lot of heat for making cintron look bad, but that is not the whole story.
If you go back and watch the fight, Cintron looks good in the early rounds, then between rounds 2 and 3, i think it is, he tells Steward his hand is busted (he whispers it to him, but if you turn it up, you can hear it), at which point manny instructs him to let feliciano come inside and work, so feliciano tires himself out. Even the commentators made a comment about this, saying it sounded like a bad plan, but they didnt know that cintrons hand was hurt. Manny has confirmed that this was the plan in interviews since the fight, saying he knew they would give rounds away, but he knew felciano wasnt hurting cintron, so they would just let him tire himself out.
as the fight progressed and felcianos output fell (obviously it wasnt by as much as they expected, jesse put on a hell of a showing!), steward told cintron to take the fight back outside, and when he did, he got the KO.
Manny came up with an ugly game plan to get his fighter through a tough fight with his biggest weapon busted. Cintron did exactly what manny said and got the KO.
Seriously, read the interviews with manny steward from this week, and then go back and watch the fight, listen between rounds to mannys instructions and you will see that cintron follows them to a "T". Why would manny steward, a guy who likes fighting on the outside, tell cintron, a guy who is great at fighting on the outside, to let a smaller guy come inside, unless he had to quick switch up a game plan.
