Emmanuel Augustus -W35-L29-D6- what if he trained seriously?

If Augustus took training and preparation seriously for each fight, had longer training camps and as a result had a lower fight count would he be rated top 10 lightwelter or even welter?

Mayweather was once quoted as saying Augustus was his hardest fight ever. This guy has an average of 4 fights a year and has had 70 professional bouts since turning pro in 1994 if I remember. To allow him to maximise his potential a boxer really needs adequate time to train and rest, before and after a fight respectively.

    W35 (KO18) L29 (KO3) D6
Longer you watch, the better it gets:

i used to be a big fan of augustus and still am but he wouldnt be a p4p fighter or even a top one. if he took easy fights rather than fights with everyone he could have had a decent record with maybe only a couple losses. then he would have to actually train hard against the prospects and not take them late notice then he would have beaten them and gotten the title shot he so desperately wanted but he would never beat an elite fighter or win a world title.

I have always believed Augustus could have been a p4p level fighter. His penchant for taking fights on 2 days notice ruined him.
