When you pick the wrong outcome???

I know we all try to analyze fights and pick the winner, but when you are totally off, how do yall feel? Does it make you think that maybe youre not as knowledgeable as you thought and you feel you lose credibility or what? Just a question i was wondering, i mean i see some people swear up and down on some fights, the opposite happens and they just keep on posting their opinions and arguing with people like they know all totally disregarding how bad theyre "lock" picks were before.

If I call it wrong I call it wrong.. I am not going to hang myself over being wrong.. or worry that a bunch of Zit faced teenies on Boxing scene are going to laugh at me..

I think it ******.. when people wont admit it.. I mean the odd's are 50% You can be forgiven for making the wrong pick..

Usually I just gain more respect for the other boxer or decrease respect for the loser.

Ive been wrong twice this year (Taylor v Pavlik & Mosley v Cotto)

But **** it. I don't care if I'm right or wrong. ANYTHING can happen in boxing.

oh ya, no one is ever going to be right all the time, thats a given. Its just in fights like lets say a Gatti/Mayweather. When people were picking Gatti, and then seeing what happend to him, im guessing you have to think to yourself, man all these people were telling me what was going to happen maybe im not as good as an expert as i thought. I know if Floyd doesnt beat Hatton quite easily Im going to be like damn, where did i start to go wrong and my personal credibility will suffer a couple of notches ha..

Show me an expert who can predict the future and I'll make a frigging fortune in Vegas. If you're wrong you're wrong, it doesn't matter. The only thing more pathetic than pretending you weren't wrong is mocking someone for being wrong.

So far this year I've had 5 predictions backfire, Pacquiao/Barrera II, Mazquez/Vazquez II, Guzman/Soto and a couple on "Friday Night Fights". Boxing is a sport in which anything can happen at any given time, getting a prediction wrong isn't that uncommon.

Look at Teddy Atlas, he's viewed as one of the best analysts in the sport and he can't predict a fight to save his life. He picked Taylor to beat Pavlik for Christ's sake.
