It was a close fight the first time they fought. But Mayweather won it, injury or no injury.
In fact, I think Castillo would prefer to hear that Mayweather fought un-injured in their first match so he doesn't have to answer "Why couldn't you convincingly defeat an injured fighter?" Think about it, it's his two fists vs Mayweather's one good arm.
Castillo should have that "W" over Mayweather in there first fight.
And the second fight was much closer then people make it out to be.
And Mayweather wanted a rematch but on his terms. Arum wanted to make a lot of money in the rematch and have it at the Staples, would have been a sell out crowd and payed good money for the rematch. But little Floyd wanted no part of LA and instead the fight was held somewhere else where it favored Floyd. This is one reason it took Floyd so long for fans to accept Floyd he was going to give Castillo the rematch but on his terms regardless if people went to see the rematch or not.
I recall a dead crowd the second time around. In Staple you would have a live crowd. But Floyd wasn't confident in a win in Staples.
It will always be remembered that most all people felt Castillo beat Mayweather in there first fight. And though most will remember the second fight being a run away win for Floyd it wasn't, it was just as close a fight as the 1st, excpt for the live crowd who didn't know what they were watching.

Wait....the second fight was a closer fight than the first one? Or you're just saying it was a close fight? I saw both fights. The 1st fight was close....but I still give PBF the win. The 2nd fight was convincing.
I don't know people focus on the 1st fight more than the 2nd. In the rematch, both men were healthy and they fought a good fight but PBF came out the clear winner. This should also convince the skeptics that PBF was fighting injured in the first match.
I had the first fight 8-4 for Mayweather, there were many close rounds but I thought Floyd was in control, all I saw from Castillo missing and hitting arms, he barely connected with some good punches.
Seriously we French know how to score fights unlike most of you.
If I have to to hear about this fight one more time, I will jump of Eiffel Tower.

Wait. Not all of us are blind. Sheesh. And you can't jump from the Eiffel Tower. You have work tomorrow.
People are desperate to find ways to cut down Flod because he is so good. Im not a fan, but he was obviously injured after the first round, and it was still a very close fight. The rematch cleared up all uncertinaty.
The judges were ****in blind, but thats not Floyds fault. People dont give him credit for taking, and winning the rematch.
actually i think too much people give him credit for the rematch, like that changes the fact that he shouldve lost the first fight.......im far frm a floyd hater, but the guy lost that fight end of story...i dont see what shame is there in losing to a prime JLC...and the rematch wasnt exactly a walk in the park...
PBF will never be given the proper credit he deserves for anything that he does.
Rematches don't change the out come of first fights but they do help in clearing things up. In the rematch whether or not some felt it was a close or some felt it was easy PBF was the VERY CLEAR WINNER. The first fight some controversy in the out come the second fight had none of that. So PBF should be given plenty of credit for the rematch. You have some fighters who never really gave rematches.
