Joe dropped his guard all night against Lacy, and I think he could get away with it against Pavlik as well, since Kelly is not exactly a speed demon. I see Joe boxing his way to a decision, but yeah if Pavlik gets to that chin, who knows.

Pavlik would get school all nite vs calzaghe just my opinion on tht fight, the only person i believed had a chance vs calzaghe was kessler and we seen how tht went.

I can't see Pavlik getting past Taylor, sadly. If someone could guarantee that Pavlik wins his rematch then, in terms of legacy, a Pavlik beatdown means plenty for legacy.

Why the **** do GBP want to put this fight on in June though? Seven months FFS. Still, an actual, physical offer made to Joe Calzaghe to fight in the US. That's a first, even if it is for chump change. Some might ask why he hasn't fought in the US before but this is the first actual offer made to him to do so.

I would rather see Calzaghe vs Pavlik over Calzaghe vs Hopkins. Pavlik is a better fighter than Hopkins right now and he would actually make the fight exciting, Hopkins is a boring dirty fighter.

i couldn't agree anymore... i really dont understand why everybody seems so desperate to see a calzaghe hopkins fight.... i'd much rather see him fight pavlik, or as its been mentioned maybe either dawson

Calzaghe is at his best when he is tested. Pavlik is dangerous for anyone to face. Is a garenteed good exciting fight, unlike Hopkins.

i would expect joe to know a little too much for pavlik and to win a unaminour decision but it would definitely be a more exciting fight than hopkins. i would also think pavlik might be a little slow against joe....

If I'm honest, I think both will be rather one-sided contests. Pavlik might be the more "live" opponent, but Hopkins' cageyness would only serve to let him avoid the beating Pavlik would take.
