lol u kiddin me? hes not over looked at all everyone knows about him but you cudnet rearly place him above sam or sugar ray but i see what u saying his achievement has never been done.
Sam fought in all the divisions lightwieght -heavywieght carried his speed and power with him and went down divisions sometimes too so i wud put sam above henry anyday.
I think when people talk about best p4p sugar ray robinson gets named way to much i think theres alot of candidates for that spot.
He also wud of had a better record if he didnt throw a few matches jus for money for the rematch but he was a poor guy and he died poor to which is very sad.

Sorry to not agree with all u sugar ray robinson fans but sam langford fought from lightwieght to heavywieght he wieghed 185pounds i been researching on this guy and he has to be without a doubt the best fighter ever.
People like to talk about sugar ray robinson but this guy was always out wieghed by his opponants.
What boxer do u know in sugar ray robinsons time and in this era that will box completely blind only seein shadows and knockin people out?
He won the mexican heavy wieght title by knocking out his opponant when he was completely blind maybe he would of lasted alot longer with better defense.
Called the "Greatest Fighter Nobody Knows," by ESPN
Langford stood only 5 ft 7 in (1.70 m) and weighed 185 lb (84 kg) in his prime
He fought jack johnson but lost and never got a rematch when he got bigger because he was only a light middle when he fought jack johnson and johnson was scared of his skill developing.
Why do people forget about this guy?
Thanks for the vids Sterling, appreciate that. Dude reminds me of a American Pitbull Terrier (No Mike Vick). Low to the ground, strong as a bull, and won't give up. EVER. Would fight anything in its path. Good K coming.

ok dude karma is appreciated yeh he had the most heart ever in boxing i mean to be completely blind fighting shadows and gettin knockouts is number 1 greatest heart of all time in my book he stood up to guys who out wieghed him by at least 30 pounds everytime to but he went inside and busted them up.

I was just saying that for people that really don't follow boxing, Armstrongs name might not ring a bell. But for people that follow boxing, like you and myself, Armstrong is a all time great. Understand, *****bait? lol

Fair enough. Sam Langford was definitely an ATG, but greater than SRR, Armstrong, Louis, Pep, even Duran, I don't think so.

Professional boxing is about money. Johnson could make more money kicking some white ass. And he enjoyed it too!

This P4P bull**** is very arbitrary and ultimately meaningless. Langford was a great boxer who has been ignored by history. He fought in a different era so it is hard to compare him with more modern fighters.
