    is mayweather a runner?

    i dont think so.
the point of boxing is to punch and move, and thats why floyd does.

He's not a toe-to-toe fighter, but he does throw punches. He averages, something like 350 a fight. Which is pretty good for a guy who's ended his early fights earlier.. and fought bigger guys lately.

He's not a runner.. A runner is Andre Dirrell. THAT'S a runner. Mayweather is ACTUALLY a mover.. True. (Simple, if I throw a punch at you, do you move, or do you stay there and take it? Simple, common ****in' sense) He hits and moves, by the way. He actually doesn't counter as much as you'd think. He pot-shots, but gets off first. THEN he counters.

He actually stays on the ropes quite a bit. Shoulder rolls and then moves once he lands a couple of shots.

He COULD stand in there a bit more for exchanges, but.. no real reason to when you don't HAVE to.

thats exactly right..i have sparred guys who keep moving away from me, and when they feel like it, they make a move on me.but moving away from your opponent is a very skillful tactic, and if you haven't been in the ring, then your not in a position to comment on it.
It's a beautiful thing to keep your opponent at bay, and if that means being at a distance from your opponent, so be it. It's called hit and move, not hit and stand ffs.

Dirrell is a disgrace. He actually has fans on here, too. Pretty crazy.

I know lol. I was, no bull****, just looking at the pic not 10 minutes ago when I realized the same thing. Gotta protect that bod when you're 6'2 and weigh 147 pounds.
