    Disrespectful

Ive been following the forum for a while and the PR for the Floyd / Hatton Fight. And Ive had to sign up because Im so pissed off about the gutter attitude and disrespectful piece of **** that is floyd mayweather.

Boxing is a beautiful sport, always has been, but this fking Floyd Mayweathers attitude makes me want to smash his fking face in. He's such a prick.

How can anybody support him ? Do you like how he talks such **** to fellow professionals ?

    Grrrrr, thats my rant.

However, I want to ask if you think the floyd Mayweather product is good for the future of boxing ?

    Cheers

Floyd knows that controversy and animosity generate interest and increase ticket and ppv sales so he plays the bad guy and collects his check. That's my take.

Head-Hop said it best when going against Winky when he said "he said he's not trying to play bad guy to sell the fight but I AM", he knew what he had to do to sell the fight and thats what he did, Floyd is doing the same with Ricky Hatton aswell as all his other opponents, notice how he ALWAYS gives respect to all of his opponents AFTER the fight stemming back from his beginning days? he does that because ALL ALONG thats how he felt it's just he can't be a nice guy and expect to sell tickets, he has to play the game the right way and keep people buzzing, do you think people are going to be making quotes about someone who doesn't talk ****? nope..

Floyd puts himself out there for you to bash him OR love him, the choice is up to you but either way you going to watch, either to see him lose or to see him win but the POINT is that you WILL watch, why? due to a carefully constructed image built over the past few years to make you either like him or hate him, either way though you'll acknowledge him, THATS his goal, believe it or not you just helped him succeed in his game, in THE game actually because to make dollars you have to make sense and the only thing that makes sense here is hype, as long as he's hyped he will have you raving and ranting, got it? 100

I noticed I dodged your question too..

"However, I want to ask if you think the floyd Mayweather product is good for the future of boxing ?"

YES, the future, the past and the present, he's just doing what Muhammed Ali did he's just a fighter of our era and guess what? it's working.. it would make for more news coverages if other fighters were the same and there was physical confrontations, there would be reports meaning MEDIA, meaning $$$.. 100

How can anybody support him? He's a good fighter, makes the right moves and does what he needs to in order to stay undefeated.
I don't think Floyd Mayweather is good for boxing, neither is Oscar De La Hoya. But is something we gotta deal with.

Mayweather is good for boxing, he is contraversial, talented and i find his antics very funny.

Plus he makes the big fights happen, at the end of the day, the two biggest fights in years both include him and he made them happen,

              1) By giving de la hoya every advantage possible and still winning
              2) Calling Hatton out in public and giving him nowhere to go.

Mayweather only has a few fights left in him anyways, so he isnt the future of boxing, but like him or not, he is very entertaininng.

About his personality, if you see what you only want to see, your su****ions will be confirmed,

But let me make this more clear.

Last year/this year, Who toured 30 schools talking to children about building a better future.

              Mayweather or Hatton?

Who always keeps in shape because he respects his dicipline and doesnt go out on all night drink and curry binges which leave him overweight and nowhere near fight shape?

              Mayweather or Hatton?

Who has built more gyms and community centres for the public

              Mayweather or Hatton?

Who bought thousands of meals for impoverished families in their hometown,

              Mayweather or Hatton?

Dont get too caught up in the hype.

What does he have to respect Hatton for , he is the one guy in the world that has a right to disrespect Hatton , Floyd is not shooting his mouth of from behind a keyboard or from his lounge chair , he is going to fight him so I reckon he can say whatever he likes about Ricky Hatton .

He gets you to join a forum, due to your attitude towards him. He's created interest in him and the fight. I say, he's done some pretty good PR for the fight, wouldn't you?

(Regardless of your attitude or how the interest is created, it's interest in him. That's all there is to it. You can buy a fight with the hopes that he gets knocked out, which you probably will.. you're stil buying the fight. Negative reasons still create positives in the bank account.)
