    Guzman On The P4P List?

I have just watched Guzman's fight from last week with Soto and was very impressed by him once again. This is only the third time I have seen him but in each of those fights he has been absolutely phenomenal and the only thing keeping him off the P4P lists is a victory over a 'name' fighter. It seems that Pacquiao is reluctant to fight him and Marquez is intent on chasing a match with him anyway. That leaves Guzman with a probable fight with Michael Katsidis and a move up to the lightweight division. My question is: how much longer can Guzman be kept off the P4P lists and would a convincing victory against Katsidis put him on your list?

I insist that Joan Guzman looked like **** after he showed he was so superior to Soto, and still ran the last 4 rounds... I would had respected him if he stood his ground and KO Soto. It was a no brainer. Guzman was much better. No reason to use the rollerblades agaisnt Soto.

Hell no. I wouldn't even consider him in the top 15.

Truthfully, I think Guzman belongs on a top 10 p4p before Borenard Popkins does (a 175 pounder WITHOUT a belt that's lost 2 of 4 and only fights once a year.) Beating Soto helps his status, but he needs a Pac or Marquez type fight to catapult him up.

Bernard has a belt, The Ring (which is the best one out there), and beat the true champ out there and beat a pound for pound fighter who was known as #2 for most of 2006.

That and his fights with Taylor were close, so he definietly deserves to be on there.

Guzman needs a win against an elite name before he can get on any p4p list

He should fight Marquez now that Pacquiao proved that fighting the best isn't in his immediate future.
