Zsolt Erdei wins 9th straight title defense.

outclassed tito mendoza today in germany for the 9th defense of his light heavyweight WBO title....

erdei is now 28-0, i dont know much about him, only seen a couple clips. i do know that he is a gold medalist and was wondering if anyone else may have seen a couple fights and may offer some insight.

if he could get and win a fight against chad dawson, hed go from a joke to the undisputed champ in a heartbeat.

would this guy leave europe? or is he content to live it out beating mediocre competition like so many others have done?

Anyone have a link to the breakdown or see this fight??? I had many thousands on Erdai- he was a huge favorite but won by a very strange split decision. 116-112 111-117 117-111 . What's the story??

It would be nice to see him. I could say Chad would tear him up but I seriously have no idea.

Hold on, why is this guy a "joke?" Because YOU haven't heard of him?

I watched the fight on Sopcast. Erdei is ok he's got a nice left and a nice left hook but gets hit too much and is vulnerable. Mendoza got him a couple of times early but he came through. He waits around too much at times but he definitely won the fight. Don't see him beating Dawson, Woods, Hopkins, or Calzaghe. He's a come forward guy, he needs better defense, ok power on his shots.

Arsalan beat Hill because he threw harder shots. Vigil acquitted himself well but he did throw a ton of pitty pat punches, his conditioning was good but it was obvious he couldn't hurt Arsalan. I actually gave Hill 3 of the first 4 rounds but he basically lost most of the rest. Hill never committed to anything but a few body shots, where Arsalan was throwing and scoring with nice left uppercuts.
Arsalan is pretty good, don't see him beating the Cunninghams, Haye's, Tokarev's etc of the division.
Hill fought well for what he is, 43 years old. He showed great conditioning and a good chin, but obviously his best days are behind him.

i've watched his last 10 fights........in just about every single fight he gets in trouble but comes back...a good all-round boxer lacks power though...

he fights many unknowns though...and in my opinion he lost both of his fights to Garay..definitely..

sometimes his stamina goes late on..

Thanks for the breakdown JR. Anyway somebody could of seen the fight 111-117? The report I read said Erdai clearly won and that the score was "Bizarre". He was probably watching the wrong shorts.
