what happened to standing 8 counts??

I never see standing 8 counts anymore. Cintorn did land a bunch of unanswered punches, but It didnt appear jesse was out on his feet.. he had a great chin and kept commin.. dindt mean he would win.. but the ref if he really felt he was hurt could of gave a standing 8 count to assess it more.. Was just a great fight to watch that I really wanted to see the next 2 rounds to come, Cuz I dont think Cintron was gona KO him...

Unified rules has no standing 8 count... idk, simple as that for that match.

The IBF belt was on the line, and they use the unified rules.

We would hear this about alot of fights. THis ain't the amatures man.

But if you want to see some crazy ****.. Look on youtube for Wlad Vs Lamon Brewster. They do a standing 8 count in that fight.

yea I dont discredit the unanswered shots.. I just felt like it coulda went on.. not calling it a real bad stoppage.. but nto calling it a good one either.

I'm not sure about it in this case. I do agree that it needs to be used more often though. I think it's a great tool.

I think they are impratical based on the way ref's control fights now.

I still think they are better than just waving the fight... give the guy a chance..

That fight sure proved that Cintron can't fight on the inside at all. Hurt hand or not, he looks like a protected head case to me.
