According to Canadian papers, negotiations for this fight are underway. I don't know why this fight hasn't been confirmed yet, but from what I heard, Dawson's promoter can't get a network to televise the fight, but they are still trying. We all know Dawson, a man who could possibly be the best at LHW right now, but what about Diaconu? From what I've seen he seems flatfooted, which would be terrible against Dawson. If you fight Dawson flatfooted, Dawson will be able to pick off your shots and counter it and you won't be able to land a punch. And since Diaconu is 5'9, he will have a horrible time trying to connect to Dawson, he's also slow on his feet. Anyways why do you guy's think?

It's not that he can't get any airtime, it's just that there having a hard time trying to find a network to televise this fight. Diaconu's promoter wants the fight in Montreal and Dawson has a problem with this. There is also a possibility they want to schedule the fight in the same card with Lucian Bute. Anyways how good is this Diaconu fellow? Because there is some people who believe he can beat Dawson. I've also seen a few of his fights, but is this guy really that good?dawson cant get a fight on TV he should be getting much more air time than guys like tarver.Last edited by Boxingwizard; 11-23-2007, 06:01 PM.Comment

One, Dawson-Diaconu was set to air on Showtime in September before Diaconu got injured. Two, Dawson's last four appearances have been on Showtime. He beat Eric Harding, Tomasz Adamek, Jesus Ruiz and Epifanio Mendoza. He's the most recognizable American light heavyweight not named Bernard Hopkins or Roy Jones. Of course he's going to be on television as long as a date is available.According to Canadian papers, negotiations for this fight are underway. That's what I'm saying, but that's what I heard from Canadian newsites. Dawson also has a contract with Showtime too. I think they haven't scheduled the fight yet because the WBC just ordered (like 8 days ago) for Dawson to set a date against any voluntary opponent before January 25, he also needs to fight Diaconu before May 25.One, Dawson-Diaconu was set to air on Showtime in September before Diaconu got injured. Dawson will dance his way to a late TKO stoppage victory over chubby Diaconu. Seriously what had Diaconu ever done in his life except knockout overrated Rico HoyeComment
