This was part of the Cow Palace incident a couple months ago. What had happened was that a bunch of ex-pro wrestlers, pro-wrestling promotions and a MMA promotion was swindled into doing autographs and matches at the Cow Palace by an entertainment company. Everyone got there and demanded half of the pay they were getting. Nobody got paid. Checks got bounced including one for Roddy Piper. Hotels didn't get paid. Media and sponsers didn't get their cut and the MMA promotion didn't get a cut either. On top of that, the CSAC took out some of the top names of the card including Mia St. John for undisclosed reasons. You also had Chris Chapman being pulled off the card by the A&E channel. Sonny was part of Chapman's crew.

The next day, the MMA card was supposed to happen but the CSAC canceled it all the sudden. Details are hazy why. All the fighters were angry and wanted to get paid. The entertainment company robbed the promoters and left them high and dry, so there was no money. Don, who was clearly soussed, was trying to get the situation controled so as the promoters could find out how much was owed to everyone. Sonny gets in Don's face and starts poking on him, telling him Chapman should get paid first. Don asks him to go outside with him just to talk about it. They head to the outside door. Sonny's still poking Don. Don turns around and gets sucker punched by Sunny and the schuffle as you see here broke out.

Interesting vid. to watch, though I don't like watching Don get laid out like that (strickly as an old fan of Don Frye). Seriously, all this MMA vs Boxing bull**** is annoying as ****. I like both sports, there's no reason for boxing fans to **** on MMA. They're just different sports.

I agree Im a fan of both sports, the reason this video means something is because MMA fans always talk **** about street fights how boxers would get owned in a second. Boxers arent real fighters so on and so on.

i dont see any sucker punch in that vid. all i see is Sonny tripping and falling while Don is backing up, then Sonny gets up and lands some mines on Don and they pull Sonny off of Don.
