He never won a world title. In a word: NO.

At this point is his career, he's not a HOF. He's shown on certain nights that he has the power, skill, chin, and the heart of champion but he's just too inconsistent between his big wins to make a viable argument for the HOF. Plus, as was stated earlier, he's not world champion...

Exciting, good fighter, really good power, but you need a World Title to go along with that.

The frustrating thing is, that he could win a world title right now if he would ever step up his competition and get serious with his conditioning...

Not a hall of famer insofar as his achievements are concerned, but in terms of his power, chin and devastating wars and knockouts, he does deserve some sort of recognition. I believe he was voted one of the top 50 punchers of all time.

If you could consider Shavers a hall of famer I don't see why Tua couldn't be in with a shout.

He has great wins, and all the skill to be one. He either needs 2-3 really good wins, or a world title to be a HOF though.

when was the last time someone who was 5ft 9 and 220lbs won the heavyweight title?

He's a good fighter but he is too short to win any titles. Lewis showed that all you need to do is avoid his bombs and jab the **** out of him and he can`t do anything.
