    Just to Clarify....

For a few people.. who seem to Think Otherwise..

The scores were ..115-112/115-112/114-113 a Unanimous descion..

The ONLY Knockdown scored was By the winner of the fight Ricky Hatton

The loser of this fight was Luis Collazo.. He was WBA Welter Weight champ at the time of his defeat..

    This is well documented FACT....

yet I seem to hear alot of people talking Like hatton lost this fight.. And that an Almost Knock Down is worth more on the cards than an ACTUAL knock down...

I just want to be sure all those misinformed people.. Know what really Happened..

No need to thank me.. Just doing my part for a more understanding World

Yeah I've always felt that IF Hatton had not scored that flash KD in the first round I think it was.....than the fight would have been a draw....but since he did he won.The rounds were even though....but the KD gave him the win....

Well he still would have won on the judges scorecards even without the knockdown. It was a close fight, with Ricky getting a little too excited over the knockdown and expending way too much energy early. And sure, he struggled a bit with a bigger, stronger, faster southpaw but he still won the fight.

Welter you have obviously forgotten the well known Fifth ********* rule in boxing which states "If an American fighter is knocked down by a non-American but not subsequently knocked out then the knock down is declared null and void." The rule goes on to state that "In the event of the American fighter briefly stunning their opponent, judges must deduct a point from the other fighter and may deduct up to two more points at their discretion."

collazo is not american dumb ass. and alot of those rounds were toss up rounds. No one is saying collazo should win because he had him hurt in the twelve. The point is hatton was holding and out on his feet like a little ***** if it was a 13rd fight hatton would of been ko'd. and that kd hatton got was a punch on the shoulder more like a push when collazo had his feet together. why didnt hatton issue a rematch that collazo called for???????????????? because he knew better. Enjoy all your wishful thinking it's not going to last much longer. Dont give hatton too much credit for beating 2 washed up fighters. I don't see hatton winning more then 3 or 4 rounds at most. Then he can get his dumb ass back to jr w.w. and make up more excuses then he did after the collazo fight

No he wouldn't. After that flurry - there was still over a minute of the round left, which Hatton won.

Hatton recovered and finished the final round strongly so he wasn't hurt that badly meaning a thirteenth round is as likely to be his as Collazo's.

                  What nationality is Collazo then?

the fight couldve gone either way..
Ricky did well in the early rounds
collazo took over the middle rounds.. boxed and used his speed to out box him..
ricky then came back towards the end, except the 12th where he was in LOADS of trouble..
if it was a bigger fight and more was a state, i think it shouldve been a draw.. ricky won on points, but didnt exactly do what he had to do take another mans title (dont act ******, u kno what i mean)
