Anyone looks good against sub par comp, when he faces a top fighter we will see how good he has become since the loss. Only time will tell. I ate until I felt pregnant, damn I love this holliday.

I think time will tell that Cintron actually beat a pretty good fighter in his last showing against Walter Dario Matthysse. That dude only has 2 losses, 1 from Cintron, and 1 in a 9th round stoppage from Paul Williams, and he held his own against Williams.
It's too bad that he looked so impressive against him, because he did it so much so that he is going to get barely any credit for it.Comment

Matthysse also got knocked out by Sebastian Lujan, the guy who got his ear torn up by Margarito.I think time will tell that Cintron actually beat a pretty good fighter in his last showing against Walter Dario Matthysse. Yeah, I heard about this. i wonder if, perhaps, Cintron ruined Matthysse? i mean, that **** was brutal and may have left matthysse a changed fighter. i am actually surprised he got back in the ring.Comment

So, the margarito fight, unfortunately, is cintrons career defining fight. there were a lot of reasons cintron should not have been fighting then, and here is the basic jist from a recent article...
"Cintron broke his knuckle on his right hand and damaged a tendon in the proceeding fight with Teddy Reid. Following surgery and some six weeks of therapy, the knuckle began to turn black, a condition caused by lack of blood to the bone which was in fact dying. A second surgery revealed a loose piece of cartilage between tendon and bone was causing the lack of blood flow. Following the surgery, Cintron’s former manager would make a title bout with Margarito despite the fact that Cintron’s hand was in a cast. The cast was removed some 4 weeks before the fight and Cintron was cleared to use the hand for sparring just two weeks out from the bout. The result of this type of mismanagement and lack of preparation were disastrous as Cintron was dropped for the first time in his career and stopped for his first loss via fifth round TKO. Despite highlight reel knockout wins and gaining the IBF title since that loss, Cintron is still plagued by critics who point to his loss to Margarito as a sign that his winning ways are a mirage." - Kermit Cintron: “El Asesino” Prepares by Gabriel Montoya
so, a lot of people say they dont believe the stuff about the hand surgeries, so i was looking for some proof online and found this picture from the marg fight. just look at the middle knuckle on his right hand... that looks ****ed.
