That's a good idea. I may do that. Yes I am very serious. I feel closer to my grandfather when training (he passed many years ago). He wanted me to box when I was growing up, instead of playing basketball etc. Probably should have listened to him, I ****** at baseketball

I am a ****ing huge pothead and I dont think I would stop unless I have to. do the drug tests they administer look for weed? if so what is the penalty for a positive marijuana piss test?
Smoking ****s your stamina, whether it's weed or tobacco. Furthermore weed will have an atrocious effect on your motivation. If smoking weed is that important to you then don't bother boxing.

The earlier you start, the earlier you finish. If you start at 27, in my opinion you will learn faster than if you started at 17 which could make up for the late start.

It really depends how much you put into it, if you dedicated your life to it and you have real talent, you could be a champion.

According to wikipedia Earnie Shavers started boxing at 22 and won his first amateur match within 2 weeks of starting by KO. He did hit hard as hell though

Exactly, If one is serious about getting into the fight game and having a go, you shouldn't even be drinking soda. Even at am level, everything thing counts in boxing.

I'm 26 and about to start fighting. it's good to see how encouraging everyone is. one thing i have noticed, though... two years ago i was 152 lbs, and it didnt take all that much ridiculous work, or time, to get there. Now, it seems as though my metabolism has taken a nose dive. i started working out pretty intensely 3 months ago, i am in good shape, i can run 10 miles pretty easily, swim for 2 hours straight, do lots' pushups and pullups, but cant seem to get below 175... and i dont have even close to a big enough swing to **** at 175lbs. when i started 3 months ago i was 192, lost the initial 15 pounds in 2 weeks, but nothing since then, really. man, gettin older blows.
