The Leonard that fought Hagler honestly wasnt too bad. He went on to knockout LaLonde and beat the Roberto Duran that had just beaten Barkley.
not prime, but not bad. besides, its not like he took a lot of punishment in his career, he gave himself a ton of time to heal he body. he was only 31. thats like the norm for today's fighters, and his body wasnt worn down from fights either,.

The leonard that fought hagler was a shell of his old self. He lost speek, stamina, balance. He never was dropped before he retired, as his natural instinct were razor sharp and avoide the big hits, and when he did he had the balance and the knowledge how to deal with it. When he came back, he lost that edge. That split second edge that seperates him frm other greats.

His body was not worn down form boxing tha tis true, but it was ravashed from *******, and in activity hurts too, especially a fighter that is based off of timing, balance, speed, instincts..etc.

We were robbed of his best 5 years, who knows how many other great fights he would have given us, pryor who had just became worthy since he beat Arugello, hagler, rematch earlier with hearns, Curry, etc....

Hagler is my hero, but he has himself to blame. Leonard won the bout outside of the ring.

He was a genius inside of the ring, too. When I watch the fight, I would sewar that Ray was the big ****er if I didn't know otherwise. He made his shots echo, and his flurries were flashy as hell.

Ray pulled every trick in the book to win that fight.

Hagler won the fight, but it was a good tussle, as Geraldo gave hagler a little bit of movement and boxed him. Geraldo landed some good shots vs Ray but he pretty much got easily beaten...Scores on Leonard Geraold fight ray by 5 points and 3 points.. Remember ray was welter.... Score for Geraldo vs Hagler, hagler by 2-3.4 points....

I think you both need to revisit Hagler!
Oh you tell is about understanding boxing and styles, and come up with a "triangulatar" argument. wow...

Hagler cleary wasn't his best that night, but he still won it, people were just so impressed by Ray cause he was actually in the fight a lil. Hagler was throwing tons of body shots & was always coming at Ray People Score/ Pick Sugar Ray to Win because they like his Style more, it was more pleasing, plus he was the golden boy of the 80's. I feel Bad for Hagler cause I think he def won.
