    Cotto vs Clottey in March?

I have heard RUMORS, i repeat..RUMORS, that Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey may fight this coming March in either Puerto Rico or Atlantic City. My cousin said he heard it on the radio in PR. This would be a good fight but I think Cotto takes it. Clottey needs to get by his next fight tho which is against undefeated Shamone Alvarez first.

This is only leaves me one question. Cotto has a mandatory fight against Frederick Klose and from what I heard the fight needed to be signed by some time next month. Will Cotto vacate the title? Or is another mandatory being paid off? Or is Cotto-Clottey just a untrue rumor? I have no idea.

Id hate to see Cotto vacate the title, but Cotto-Clottey is a much better match than Cotto-Klose. *** mandatories! Clottey should be his dam mandatory anyway instead of some guy named Klose/

That would actually be a good fight. I've always liked Clottey. At least we can bet that these two guys will come to FIGHT.

One thing I really don't like about Cotto, is that he's willing to settle for anybody.

I mean, yes it's good he's fighting people, but a unification bout with Floyd would be nice. He should just call Floyd out and not be like "I'll take on whoever"

If he were to fight Floyd, it wouldnt be in March. Cotto is going to fight one more time before a big fight in June.

Once again tho this is only rumors, my cousin came down from Bayamon PR for Thanksgiving and he told me he heard about a Cotto-Clottey fight on the radio.

I hope Cotto sticks to schedule. A long layoff might do him harm. I guess we have to wait until ater Dec. 8 to really know what going down.

I agree with keeping him busy but damn, he needs to fight his mandatory some time and think unification! If winner of PBF v Hatton and DLH are not available, what's wrong with winner of Williams v Cintron? Even Margarito would be a better option than Clottey.

Who do you think would beat Miguel Cotto?

I dunno. I think a few fighters could possibly beat him, but he could also beat them. I dont think anyone will deffinately beat him. I thought Mosley has a very good chance of winning, althogh I thought and believed Cotto would win, Mosley has a good chance. Margarito has a chance with his power shots, Mayweather has a chance by running all night, Hatton has a chance by hugging/clinching and frustrating Cotto, Cintron has a shot with his good power. Althogh I think Cotto beats all of the above, they all have a chance, but I wouldnt pick any of them over Cotto.
