LAS VEGAS, NEV. - The storied middleweight division has been rife with legendary rivalries. In the ‘40s Rocky Graziano had Tony Zale, in the ‘50s Sugar Ray Robinson, Carmen Basilio, and Gene Fullmer had each other and in the ‘60s Nino Benvenuti had Emile Griffith. However, for the past 40 years the middleweight division has endured a void -- great champions without great championship rivalries. [details]

Pretty senseless to make this a non title fight if you ask me. Where is the motivation in it? Even if Taylor KOs him this time, Pavlik can laugh "so what sucker, I got your belts!"Comment

If u ask me,thats the good thing about it,they dont need a title at stake, they just wanna settle it,Taylor wants his revenge, title or no title,Pavlik wants to defeat him again
I think Pavlik will knock him out or win by UD,if he uses the jab as much as he did in the last fight,i got PavlikComment

I expect Taylor to make some adjustments and maybe fight a little better but still expect Pavlik to knck hi out again. There are a lot of facrtors working against taylor. Not only does have a huge mental obstacle with the devestating knockout he suffered so close to this fight but, noe he is switching trainers again. I think that is a bad combination for him. I don't beleive he will be 100% recovered from that knockout, and it will be in the back of his mind and make hi more tentative than he was the first time because he knows if he makes a mistake he could get knocked out again. Pavlik by knockout again.Comment

If this isn't as good as the first fight it is because Jermain decided to box and win a UD, trilogy baby, trilogy.Comment
