I think floyd would also have trouble with cotto. his style is one that floyd has looked good against, but cotto showed in the mosley fight that he is a lot quicker than a lot of other stalkers, something that could trouble floyd. i think floyd will stick with fighting guys that come up in weight or are past their prime. i just dont see him risking his "legacy" by fighting these guys, though i think he hurts his legacy by not fighting them. i have said it before, but it still holds true... how can you call yourself and atg when you have never been in an all time great fight? i cant think of one mayweather fight that i would watch a second time...

You haven't seen very many Mayweather fights. I mean he isn't "Mr. Excitement" but people act like he is the most boring fighter of all time. I do concur though he needs a career defining fight.

Cotto would be Floyd's toughest fight and the one that, if he won, would leave any doubt about how high he would be on the all time great list.
          Lol...

Jim gets a little excited sometimes, but you can't hate- dude adds alot of drama to some situations.

And Floyd would be in the top 10 all time if he beats Cotto, IMO.

To be honest, you seem like an anti-boxing fan. You hate everybody. I don't even know why you watch any fights.

I think Cotto would be the best style match-up to beat Mayweather, but It might just be another Chavez fight, with Floyd using his defense and throwing uppercuts til Cotto's either out on his feet or the fight is stopped, Chavez showed an incredible chin in that fight and Cotto does have the tendency of getting rocked. Then again Mayweather could brake a hand and be in for the beating of his life, you never know. It would be a great fight nonetheless.
