    Francisco Palacios-BJ Flores Heating Up!

This is a cruiserweight clash that I simply can't wait to happen. Two undefeated cruiserweight prospects fighting for the recognition that they both want badly, with some amateur bad blood to boot. Who do you have in this fight?

FLORES TO PALACIOS: I"M YOUR HUCKLEBERRY

GL: We had you on ********** earlier in the week. Since then Francisco Palacios made it clear that he wouldn't turn you down so naturally you call me with something to say. Now's your chance, knock yourself out. "Well, he has to look no further for his January opponent. I'm ready and willing. We've both come up and we're both undefeated so let's do it on January 19. Have your people call my people, I'm really easy to work with and we can make it happen."

GL: A few interviews ago you mentioned the possibility of fighting Vassiliy Jirov. I spoke with Jirov and he mentioned a fight in Moscow. I understand his name has returned to the mix, what can you tell us about that?

BJ Flores: "Rich from Pinnacle Fight Night Promotions called me and offered me Vassiliy Jirov for December 29 at the Morogno Casino in California. I of course accepted. His fight in Russia got scrapped. He said last time if it wasn't for the fight in Russia he would fight me, now that there's no fight in Russia is off we're looking to make it happen. I'd fight Jirov on December 29, but Palacios on January 19 sounds fantastic to me. I know there's going to be a lot of Puerto Ricans over there, but they can't get into the ring with him. Roy Jones Jr will be fighting in that main event and I've idolized Roy growing up. It would be an honor to fight on the same card with somebody who everytime he fought my eyes were glued to the TV to see what he's going to do next. Me and Roy Jones would steal the show."

GL: We're going to keep it short and sweet, closing thoughts?

BF: "Francisco Palacios if you really want to fight and aren't just talking, have your people call my people and let's put on a show. I promise you it would be an early night."

PALACIOS TO FLORES: CALL DON KING!
    By Brad Cooney

BT – Recently you were on ********** and threw out some names of cruiswerweights you would want to fight. B.J. Flores quickly responded, what are your thoughts on that?

FP – Well I am ready. I will fight him in a telephone booth if I have to. He doesn't have a promoter right now, but whoever he has representing him, tell him to call my promoter, Don King, and let's get this done. Talk is cheap, I show my skills inside of the ring. He needs to understand one thing, we aint in the amateurs anymore. He beat me the first time, I dropped him. I only had 12 fights, he was out, then he grabbed me and grabbed me, and grabbed me, and I got tired. This is a whole new ballgame now, I am ready, so tell his people to get in contact with DKP, and let's get it done. January 19th would be great at The Garden.

BT – So it's that easy, just call DKP and get it done?

FP – I am ready to fight him. He's a great fighter, but I will make him disappear just like the other 13 opponents that I made disappear.

BT – Do you have any closing thoughts?

FP – I want to thank ********** for the opportunity. It will be great fight, let's make the money right, and get it done. I will fight him in a little telephone booth, wherever he wants. He's a great fighter, I am a great fighter. I want to thank God, my brother, my family, and everybody around me.
