    Four Team USA Boxers Advance To The Finals

    (COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – All four United States competitors have advanced to the championship round with semifinal victories on Wednesday at the Beijing Workers’ Indoor Arena in Beijing, China. Featherweight Raynell Williams (Cleveland, Ohio) and lightweight Sadam Ali (Brooklyn, N.Y.) both recorded their third victories of the tournament while heavyweight Deontay Wilder (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) and super heavyweight Michael Hunter (Las Vegas, Nev.) earned their second wins of the event.
    Williams battled Russia’s Afanasy Poskachin of Russia in semifinal action and won an impressive 34-14 decision over Poskachin. Williams will face Arturo Santos of Mexico in the finals. [details]

        i think anyone who thinks USA boxing is on the way out should pay attention to the noise we consistently make in the amatuer ranks, the future of boxing in this country is still bright.

              I hear Rau'shee Warren and Demetrius Andrade are two great amateurs too,there the first Americans to win gold medals at the world boxing championships in eight years

                    there were more talented guys that i went "wow" too in this years Golden Gloves, then in any i can remember.

                    I think there are some very fine fighters in this years amatuer program, and thank god 2 of them are heavyweights. Maybe one of them will capture gold and make something special of himself as a pro
