A P4P list is just a marketing tool to help American promoters to sell American based boxers, only reason Calzaghe is on it is because Lacy was hyped to the max and when he lost so so badly they had no choice but to put Calzaghe there.I think Hatton would be put at number 1 or 2 if he beat Mayweather as he is on DeLaHoyas books now.Comment

Having Cotto that high already is a joke. Pavlik KO's Miranda and an unbeaten world champion in Taylor and doesn't make your list. but Cotto KO's a troubled Judah and ONLY JUST decisions a 36yr old Mosley and you have him at 4th??
This is how my list would look if Hatton won...
1) Manny Pacquiao
2) Joe Calzaghe
3) Floyd Mayweather Jr
4) Bernard Hopkins
5) Ricky Hatton
6) JMM
7) Israel Vazquez
8) Winky Wright
9) Rafael Marquez
10) Kelly PavlikComment

"To be the best, you have to beat the best."Where do you put him on your P4P lists? The reason I ask is that every time Hatton has been interviewed lately he's stated he will be P4P #1 if he beats the current holder of that position.
In my mind, it doesn't work like that and he'd be no higher than #5 or #6. Would be interesting to see the general opinion though.
If Floyd is the best and you beat him....aren't you the best?Comment

You don't how the p4p list has worked historically. A fighter doesn't lose his spot for winning. And if you're talking about level of comp, then why do you have Manny Pacquiao at #1? Do you see Floyd giving JLC a rematch? Because I see Barerra getting a title shot he didn't deserve.Comment

It's just the way I see it. Pacquiao's showing against Barrera shouldn't put him no. 1 IMO.Having Cotto that high already is a joke.
