A P4P list is just a marketing tool to help American promoters to sell American based boxers, only reason Calzaghe is on it is because Lacy was hyped to the max and when he lost so so badly they had no choice but to put Calzaghe there.I think Hatton would be put at number 1 or 2 if he beat Mayweather as he is on DeLaHoyas books now.

You could probably name better fighters on Cotto's record than Hatton's though.

In my mind, it doesn't work like that and he'd be no higher than #5 or #6. Would be interesting to see the general opinion though.

If Floyd is the best and you beat him....aren't you the best?

They are about even, but Hatton gets the nod for being the 140 Pound King, and for disposing of his best two opponents in far more impressive fashion than Cotto.

You don't how the p4p list has worked historically. A fighter doesn't lose his spot for winning. And if you're talking about level of comp, then why do you have Manny Pacquiao at #1? Do you see Floyd giving JLC a rematch? Because I see Barerra getting a title shot he didn't deserve.

It's just the way I see it. Pacquiao's showing against Barrera shouldn't put him no. 1 IMO.

Oh, and B-Hop should swap places with Hatton.
