Brewster will never be what he was before Lyakhovich. He's not going to take the risks he once did because he's afraid of damaging his eye again, I doubt that he'll get another title shot, he'll probably fight a few more times and retire.
Where is Lamon Brewster?

Brewster has been damaged goods since his fight with Lyakovitch and his retinal injury. The last time we saw Brewster he Quit after getting his ass kicked by Wladimir Klitschko for 6 rounds. I haven't heard anything from Brewster since that beating last July. He is still a very exciting fighter to watch and he always has a punchers chance. Has anybody heard anything about a comeback fight?Comment

Yea I don't think we will be seeing Brewster v Klitscko III ever. Especially since his last fight was the fifth significant beating he has taken in three years. He might not have it left. Its a shame because neither fighter will receive full credit for thier wins.Comment

Brewsters is not the same guy thats true, the eye injury really messed things up for him, but what u gona doComment

Brewster's taken far too many beatings. And for the thread starter, your blatant Klitschko fanhood is fine, but denigrating Brewster is unneeded. McGirt stopped the fight because Brewster was offering too little in the way of offense, even after he was told that he had one round left to show something. Why let your guy take unnecessary damage? As for Brewster, he knew he didn't have it, and he trusted his trainer.
I'm amazed you went where you did. All somebody would need to do is bring up Wladimir's older brother quitting while he was way ahead against Chris Byrd.Comment

I have mad respect for Brewster, you didn't even read my other post in the thread. As for the quitting, Vitali's arm was falling off so he didn't have much of a choice. It dosen't matter anyway, Wlad destroyed Byrd twice and Vitali would beat Byrd 99 times out of 100.Brewster's taken far too many beatings. I read both of your posts. Don't assume. Didn't Walter Matthau ever tell you what that does to people? You are somewhat correct, though. I should have revised one word of my post to say not to denigrate McGirt for making the proper call in his corner.
As for Vitali's arm falling off, Danny Williams once won a fight in the same situation.Comment

How the **** did Vitali get into this conversation? Thread Stinker, now this guy...Brewster's taken far too many beatings. I'm not hating on Vitali. I was just taking a swipe at the thread starter, who of course is a Wladimir fan, by pointing out that quitting isn't necessarily a bad thing. If he wanted to deride the end result of the Wladimir-Brewster rematch, I said it would invite comparisons to Vitali-Byrd. And when he pulled up Vitali's arm hanging off, I pulled up Danny Williams kayoing some guy despite an arm injury.
Just playing devil's advocate.Comment
